Dave and Jim went to the same high school, but their musical talent didn't collide. It wasn't until January 2006, when Dave caught one of Jim's solo performances, that the pair began writing together.
"Everything leading up to this point in our own musical lives has been practice for the real thing. This is what we were both born to do" - Jim
Within a span of just five months they wrote over 30 songs and signed a production deal with Sheppard Music Inc. Under the name Postmark, Dave and Jim aim to melt indie rock with the pizzazz of mainstream pop.
Its refreshing. Postmark Twain takes music back to when it was a celebration of positive emotion. It's music written with a passion that comes from the place where humanity and humility meet, swirl around, and burst back out as melody.
Its real. The songs are influenced by the band's real life experiences.
"The music truly breathes everything we are." - Dave
These two songwriters are not afraid to let out raw emotion. Whether it's in a polished refrain or a truthful lyric, they have the power to bring a tear, or a smile, to your face.
It's addictive. Warm guitar strums couple with the innate vocal mix of Dave and Jim to make your body sway and head nod - as life's truths are sung in seamless harmony. Undoubtedly, Postmark Twain brings the magic that blurs the line between band and audience.
