Codie Prevost grew up with nature and music, courtesy of his father and mother respectively. Codie was 8 years old when he discovered an inclination to music. He played his mother's acoustic guitar when he was in high school and almost formed a band with classmates. 2 years later, Codie bought his first acoustic guitar but attended and finished college instead of pursuing a musical career. In 2002, his father encouraged Codie to audition for a talent contest in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan, where
