Sophia Ray was born and raised in San Diego, California where she started singing in school. Using her real life experiences, she took her love of singing to write pop/rock songs that complement her unique voice.
Recently, Sophia Ray has been working on her first EP album. In her single, "Keep the Light On" she hopes to inspire listeners with her lyrics and catchy chorus.
Emma Rugg is a musician with a grand vision, a great talent, and an endless determination. In 2002, Emma started busking in the city center of Hull, England. She said she just wanted to be out there and play her songs to more people. Six months later, her debut album 'Isolated Impression' was recorded and released. Emma remains the most requested solo artist on BBC raw talent radio-editors' pick. Her musical style is not solely acoustic yet her favorite instrument is the guitar.
Dead Pop Club is a pop band based in Paris, France. After a ten-year musical career, the band has created 3 albums and performed in 200 concerts. Fourth album is scheduled for release in 2009. France was better known for its electronic than its rock scenes. Dead Pop Club concocted and developed a simple formula of two guitars, one bass, and a drum set to create electric as well as eclectic music.
Diamond's Edge is a 4-piece outfit that creates pop/rock music. The band's first performance in Kingsville, Texas on November 6, 1983 had paved the way to a musical career. Diamond's Edge has Marty Munoz (vocals/keyboards), Jeff Hays (vocals/bass), Gerard Munoz (vocals/guitar), and Rick Pro (lead vocals). At first, their original music was intermixed with cover material. The band has played in various clubs in South Texas area and joined major acts like The Romantics and The Bus Boys.
Cody was Joe Boulder, Steve Jefferis, John Johnson, and Chris Tighe. Once an eclectic electronicalists and awkward bugger band, Cody had decided to disband. One of the reasons was relocation of homes and interests by other band members: Joe learning jazz guitar, John writing songs, Chris writing on Cody's old website, and Steve nurturing an electro landscape with his new band 'Cathode'. Cody was able to release two albums and was on the brink of the third when the group fell apart.
Debbie Curtis grew up surrounded by well-known musicians. She learned piano from her father at age 4. Debby self-taught herself guitar playing by watching and listening to other guitarists; but she was on keyboards at first. Her current solo project is Debbie Curtis & D-Ranged. She is nicknamed as 'The Mistress of Swing' and known as UK's only fully professional female big band leader.
Coal is Vancouver's only band that provides ethereal psychedelic western noir lounge act. Coal's 4 talented members, who all create truly unique music, are: Nicole Steen (vocals/guitar), Marcus Rogers (bass), Jon Wood (guitar), and Ian Tiles (drums). The band's music is described as 'smoky, sultry, and eerie all at once'; has gothic texture that borders to ambient blues; or 'cool and atmospheric as hell'.
Chris Price produced his own music in Washington DC. His songs are truly catchy and characterized by accessible pop tune. His debut album 'Post Pop Parade' is a collection of pop tracks. It is an upbeat, lighthearted joyride from start to end'packed with driving synthesizers, angular guitar lines, and truly catchy hooks. Cookie Cutter Girl, a.k.a. Lynn Julian, is known as 'girl power pop superhero' who packs her power pop with a 'punch'. Her songs urged women from around the world to free themselves from the 'mold' and not be a just 'cookie cutter'. Lynn Julian is an award-winning pop/rock singer and songwriter, who also writes for other performers. Her music can be heard on tv and radio. With a degree in Jazz & Contemporary Music, Lynne had released her own CDs.
Butterfly Island is more than a band; it is also a collection of songs and musical stories. This was the vision of Paul Lane when he created this UK-based project in October 1996. Carl Anglin was the original guitarist. Rodgell Shadrache plays the percussion. Michael Chowning has the fine voice that suits the songs by Butterfly Island. Lastly, Tony Clark is an engineer and producer who joined the band with a vision of music.
