Nelson Gonsaga is a distinguished musician who mastered the Cuban Tres guitar. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Nelson is well-known for his unique interpretation of the most popular form of dance music in Cuba. He immigrated in New York at age of 12, where his love for Afro-Caribbean music was developed. He was first attracted to play the Cuban Tres guitar because the musical instrument has a formidable reputation when achieving technical mastery.
