Dennis McClung was born in Baltimore, Maryland. At a young age of three, Dennis had started listening to Fats Domino. Further influences and inspirations came from Ray Charles, Albert King, Muddy Waters, and many more. He formed the Dennis McClung Blues Band with himself as the lead guitar, Jason Corder in bass and vocals, Randy Franklin keyboard/piano and vocals, and Linny Merchant drums/percussion and vocals. In 1998, the band recorded first CD 'Prisoner of the Blues'.
